Nahar Jharokha ( A glimpse of the king )
There is a grand square-shaped platform on the eastern side of Dilawar Khan's Mosque with a fragmented balcony on its southern side known as Nahar Jharokha. It is also known as "Tiger Balcony" because this balcony, made from marble, was built on a figure of a tiger. During the Sultanate rule, the subjects came here every morning to catch a glimpse of their king. It is said that this tradition started before the Mughal ruler Akbar came to Mandav, but some people disagree with this notion.
They believe the tradition was started by Jahangir and the Jharokha was built on his command. Behind the balcony, there is a double storey building. There are rooms in a row on both the floors and the ground floor is divided into three parts with halls. The ceiling in the rooms and halls are shallow and bent. The construction and architecture of the building is said to be from the Mughal era.

दिलावर खाँ की मस्जिद के पूर्वी दिशा में एक भव्य और बड़ा चौकोर चतरा दिखाई पड़ता है, जिसके दक्षिणी कोने पर बना खंडहरनुमा छज्जा नाहर झरोखा कहलाता है। वह छज्जा शेर की आकृति के ऊपर संगमरमर से बना हुआ था। सल्तनत काल में प्रजा हर सुबह वहाँ सुल्तान के दर्शन करने आती थी और राजा इसी छज्जे पर खड़े होकर अपनी प्रजा को दर्शन दिया करते थे। आम दर्शन की इस परम्परा के बारे में कहा जाता है कि यह मुगल शासक अकबर के आगमन से पहली ही शुरू हो चुकी थी, हालांकि इस बात को लेकर मतभेद भी हैं।
कुछ इतिहासकारों का कहना है कि जब जहाँगीर वहाँ आया तो उसने इस प्रथा को शुरु किया और उसके शासनकाल में ही वहाँ झरोखा बनाया गया। इस झरोखे के पीछे दो मंजिला भवन बना है। इस भवन में कतारनुमा कमरों के साथ, निचली मंजिल में तीन भागों में विभाजित हॉल बने हैं इन हॉल और कमरों की छत उचली और उसकी हुई है। इन कमरों के निर्माण और सजावट को मुनाल काल का बताया जाता है। वह झरोखा 'टाइगर बालकनी' के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। ( Source: MTPC, Dhar )
