Khirni Mandu

It is one of the best fruits of Mandu, which is known by very few people. It also goes by the name of "Khirni" or "Ryan", the golden yellow berries that come for a brief period of time in May when the real summer begins. Khirni produces small 1-2 seeded fruits which turn yellow at the time of ripening. Fruits are elliptical in shape 1x1.5 cm. Khirni fruit is very sweet and is liked by the people.

            Khirni is cultivated in small scale orchards, especially near large cities where there is a good market for fruits. In fact, Khirni fruits are considered seasonal delirium in Indian metros and are sold at high prices.

खिरनी

यह मांडू के सबसे अच्छे फलों में से एक है जिसके बारे में  भी बहुत कम लोग जानते  है। यह "खिरनी" या "रयान" के नाम से भी जाती है, सुनहरे पीले जामुन जो मई महीने में बहुत कम समय के लिए आते हैं जब असली गर्मी शुरू होती है। खिरनी में छोटे 1-2 बीज वाले फल लगते हैं जो पकने  के समय पीले हो जाते हैं। फल  आकार में 1x1.5 सेमी दीर्घवृत्ताकार होते हैं। खिरनी फल बहुत ही मीठा होने के कारण  लोगों द्वारा पसंद किया जाता है।
            खिरनी की खेती छोटे पैमाने पर बगीचों में की जाती है, विशेष रूप से बड़े शहरों के पास जहाँ फलों के लिए एक अच्छा बाजार मौजूद है। वास्तव में, भारतीय महानगरों में खिरनी के फलों को मौसमी प्रलाप माना जाता है और इन्हें ऊँची कीमतो पर बेचा जाता हैं।
