Underground Channel In Mandu

There are many water bodies in Mandav and each one had a purpose. Munj and Kapoor Talabs were connected through arched underground channels which can be seen even today. Since the ground is uneven the rainwater collected in both the ponds used to be at uneven levels, hence the channel was built to maintain the same water level in both the ponds.

भूमिगत चैनल

माण्डव में विभिन्न जल निकाय हैं और प्रत्येक जल निकाय का विशेष उद्देश्य था। मुज और कपूर तालाब को मेहराबदार भूमिगत चैनल के माध्यम से आपस में जोड़ा गया था, जिसे आज भी माण्डव में देखा जा सकता है। जमीन की समानता के चलते बारिश का पानी भी दोनों तालाबों में असमाज रूप से भरता था, इसलिए दोनों तालाबों के जलस्तर को समान करने के लिए मेहराबदार भूमिगत चैनल का निर्माण किया गया था।
